Florida Man Smiles While Driving Over Woman | Boris Twillman

Boris Twillman | PA Media

On August 10, 2024, a horrifying road rage attack unfolded on U.S. Route 19 in Largo, Florida. Twenty-four-year-old Jermeria Holycross was driving with her teenage brother and her boyfriend’s toddlers when 57-year-old Boris Twillman began tailgating them. When she pulled over to check for damage after a possible tap from his Jeep, Boris reportedly smiled, laughed, and then ran her over. He dragged her along the side of her own car while the children inside watched in horror.

Jermeria sustained devastating injuries, including a shattered pelvis, broken bones, and internal bleeding. She was rushed into surgery and has since returned home, where she faces a long and uncertain recovery. Despite the trauma, her mother and aunt say they’re grateful she survived—but want justice for what they called an “outright slaughter” in broad daylight.

Boris fled the scene, but later called police claiming he had no involvement. Surveillance footage and witness reports quickly disproved that. He was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and felony hit-and-run. At the time, Boris was already out on bond for allegedly pistol-whipping his son and attacking his elderly mother. The community is demanding accountability—not just for this case, but for a justice system that failed to prevent it.

Man charged with attempted murder after allegedly running over woman in front of children

At around 3pm on Aug. 10, 2024, a 911 call came in from U.S. route 19 East Bay Drive in Largo, Florida. A woman had been run over and dragged, uh, down the road by a Jeep Wrangler. The caller said that the man who hit her laughed before driving off. Witnesses reported children screaming at the site. 24 year old Jamaria Holycross was driving her black Volkswagen Jetta that afternoon. Her teenage brothers were in the car along with her boyfriend’s two toddlers. While heading southbound on U.S. 19, a uh, Jeep started tailgating them aggressively. That Jeep was driven by 57 year old Boris Alexander Twillman. According to Jamaria’s mother, Tammy Holycross, her daughter told her, quote, I kept moving out of his way, he kept behind me. At some point Jamaria thought the Jeep had rear ended her so she pulled over the check to damage. When he hit the car, she got out because traffic was stopped and she wanted to look at the damages. As she stepped out of the car, Boris looked at her, smiled and then accelerated straight into her. Well, as she looks, he proceeds to look at her smile and laugh and hit the gas and accelerate and run her over in front of my son and her boyfriend’s two children. Other reports even suggested that he was, quote, maniacally cackling as he did this. He pinned her between his Jeep and her Jetta. Then, as if that wasn’t crazy enough, he dragged her along the driver’s side of her car. Her face hit the glass, and the young children in the car witnessed the entire terrifying ordeal. Blood spilled down her face after it slammed against the glass. Quote, they were screaming. They were saying that baby girl just got killed. This is what Tammy said of the children in the car. Can you imagine how terrified those children were? Not even the children, her brothers, because even adults would be terrified at this. But can you imagine the torment that put the children in this is probably going to give them a complex for the rest of their lives about driving. After he did this, Boris took off. A, uh, witness tried to chase him down but couldn’t catch up. The injuries Jamaria sustained were brutal. She had a broken pelvis, a, uh, broken leg so severe that the bone was protruding through her skin. Multiple lacerations, facial cuts, road rash, skin burns, and even missing toenails. And there was also serious internal bleeding. She was immediately rushed to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for emergency surgery. Boris later called Largo, uh, police department to say, quote, something happened on US 19, but claimed he wasn’t personally involved. Instead of just taking his word for it, police pulled surveillance footage from Drew street and Keene Road, which showed Boris’s car in the area at 2:51pm matching the timeline of the attacks. Basically, this dude called. I guess he was trying to throw them off. I don’t know why he called, because first of all, he didn’t care. It’s not like he called to say, hey, somebody’s hurt. I accidentally did something, or even just, you know, anonymous call or somebody’s hurt, he didn’t care. I don’t know what the point of the call was, to rub their face into it, to glow, I don’t really know. But all he ended up doing was painting a target on his back. Officers found his Jeep at home, but Boris had left in his girlfriend’s car by the time they got there. He was arrested later that day and charged with attempted first degree murder and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious injury. Nah, I would have found something else to charge him with. Just attempted first degree murder. Did you hear what he did to that woman? His bond was set at $850,000 for the attempted murder charge and $125,000 for the hit and run charge, totaling nearly $1 million. Jamaria survived, but just barely. Her aunt, Misty Moore, said she would need to relearn how to walk. Tammy said her daughter kept replaying the same image. She says, mom, all I keep playing in my Head is him looking at me, laughing and still running me over. Misty described it as, quote, an outright slaughter of a human being on the side of the road. At the time of the attack, Boris was out on bail for previous felony charges. Was he trying to go back to jail? You know, you hear of some people who come out of jail and they just. It’s just too many changes on the outside, so they really try to go back in. I wonder if this is what was going on. Like, what the hell? In April, he had allegedly pistol whipped his son, his own son, with a Glock, breaking the boy’s nose and orbital bone. Okay? This guy’s a fricking maniac. He also shoved his elderly mother against a wall during a March 19 argument. He was facing charges for aggravated battery, battery of a person 69 or older, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony, and domestic battery by strangulation. Son of a. Uh, despite all of this, despite. Oh, my God. So the episode that I did on Wednesday, you put this guy in jail. He wasn’t out on bond. You put him in jail even though he was just completely out of his mind. Like, if you haven’t listened to Wednesday’s episode, I’ll have the link in the show notes below, so you can easily go back to it, but you need to listen to that episode. So they didn’t have this guy who was clearly just. He didn’t know what was going on. He didn’t know reality from fiction. They didn’t have him out on bond. But this dude pistol whipped his son with a gun, broke his orbital bone, shoved his mother. He had all these freaking felony charges against him, and he was out on bail. To go ahead and do this to this woman. Wow. Just. I don’t understand the system sometimes. I just. I don’t get it. Jamari is back home recovering, but she still has a long way to go.

Tammy says she’s already forgiven the man who nearly killed her daughter

Doctors don’t yet know if her pelvis will heal enough for her to have children. All because y’all put this piece of shit back on the road on bail. Wow. Sue the entire city. Frick that wow. Quote, I just care that she’s here. If the recovery takes three years, five years, I’m still here for her. Her mother said, which, I mean, yes, that’s a really good mother. You’re with her for as long as it takes. Tammy described her daughter as, quote, a loving jokester who always looks on the bright side. That’s why I think it bothered us so much, is because she’s too sweet. She’s humble. This is a quote from her mother. Even through the trauma, Tammy said she’s already forgiven the man who nearly killed her daughter. But that doesn’t mean she wants him to walk free. M. She’s better than me. My main concern is that I’m not burying her, but I feel like justice needs to be served. The Largo police, I mean, literally, after all of that, even though they gave him an astounding bond amount, it’s like they still gave him bond. He’s not in jail with no bond. They still gave him something like, I. I don’t. What does he have to do? You know what I’m saying? It’s just like this bonus episode I did not too long ago where this guy ended up turning into a serial killer because he saw his father doing, oh my God, horrendous stuff. Horrendous stuff. And they kept letting him out of jail. Four years. Four. I’m not even going to repeat it. That’s why it’s a bonus episode. Four years for this horrendous thing. He got out of jail, did the same thing, and his son kept witnessing this happen. So when he grew up, he became a serial killer. If you want to listen to that case, join Club LaM Patreon and you can go ahead and listen to this bonus as well as the back catalog of bonuses that are there. I’m going to go ahead and put the link to that in the show notes below because this is what it reminds me of. I don’t know what it takes sometimes. The Largo Police Department condemned Boris alleged actions, describing them as, quote, extremely dangerous and reckless. I mean, to say the least. They also said that, quote, this type of behavior cannot and will not be tolerated on the roads in the city of Largo. This incident has started discussions within the community of, uh, Largo about road rage and the need for greater awareness and safety measures on our highways. I don’t think that’s what it is. I mean, yeah, there are road rage incidents, but I think we need, like, greater awareness about why people like this keep getting bail and keep getting out of jail. Like, that’s. That’s where we need to start.

Jamaria has returned home and is being cared for by her family

As for Jamaria, she has returned home and is being cared for by her family. And I feel so bad for her. I really hope that her pelvis and everything heals and she’s able to have kids in the future that would be really, really devastated that this dude basically just. Cuz I don’t know what he was doing. He just. So you can go back in prison and say you did Some crap like this. Like, I. I don’t even know why I’m trying to figure out why this guy’s doing it. If I could figure it out, then I’m just as crazy as. As he is. Like, either way, I really hope that her pelvis heals enough. And, um, that’s very sad. And I really hope that they’re getting her brothers and those little children some therapy because they really are going to need therapy after witnessing this. I can’t even imagine. Can you, like, let me know your thoughts on this episode in the comments below? Because, uh, this was just like a crazy. I. I can’t even. I can’t even. That’s how much I can’t even. Oh, speaking of comments, let’s go ahead and read some of your past comments from past Florida Man Friday episodes. And before I get into the comments, don’t forget, every episode that I’ve mentioned, the links for it are going to be in the show notes below. So you can go ahead and, uh, listen to those episodes. If you haven’t listened to them before or even if you forgot about the episode and want to hear it again, the links are going to be in the show notes below, so you can easily access them.

Koehler: The first comment comes from the case of Lawan Jones

So the first comment comes from the case of Lawan Jones. And the title for this one was Teen Murder Murders Girlfriend’s Father After Social Media Dispute. And that case, as with most of these cases, had me really heated because this guy had taken this, uh, teenager, Lawan, into his home and in return, this douchebag killed him. So K said, some people lack the sense of common. Thank God you have common sense. Love your show. Thank you so much for listening, K. And thank you so much for seeing that I have common sense. Butcher Pete said. Disgusting. I can’t imagine raising a kid that then shoots me in the face because I established rules and boundaries. Shaking my head 100%, Butcher Pete, like, it wasn’t even anything crazy. You have to go back and listen to this episode to just hear the stupidity of this dude. Thanks for your comments.

DCF worker Diane Natasha Mack abused and murdered her adopted daughter

The next comment that I have is from the case of Diane Natasha Mack, where she was a DCF worker and she abused and murdered her adopted daughter. This case, as with Again, Again, as was all the cases, I do, had me fricking pissed. Mikhail Miller said she was, uh, lying. Look, Mikael, y’all gotta listen to this episode because this, this female dog was lying her ass off and I just. The horrendous crap that she put her adopted daughter through, I just, I just. It’s unimaginable. And she was supposed to be in a profession that protects the children. How, uh, did she get this job? Look, I’m not even going to go into a whole rant on it. You want to hear my rant? Go back to that episode. Uh, but anyway, Mikael, thank you for your comment.

This episode focuses on a father who allegedly gave his daughter an inappropriate gift

And the last comment I’m going to read for you was I did an emergency episode. Like, I wasn’t even supposed to be doing an episode that day. I saw this case and I had to stop everything I was doing and come out and do this episode. It’s the case of Jensen Luis Cruz Arroyo. And in this episode, this father was charged with sexual offense after giving his five year old daughter an sti. Now, let me tell you honestly, when I saw this case, I thought it was AI generated, I thought it was fake because I just, I couldn’t wrap my fricking head around this. So I did research to find out if this was real. And there were arrest records and everything. Like, I couldn’t honestly believe this case was real. And I ended up stopping my day to come and do this case. It was an emergency episode because this son of a, uh, bitch’s name and what he did needed to be out for everybody to hear because there was really barely any news about it. Nobody said anything about it. So I don’t know why people weren’t talking about it more. It’s just, you needed to be warned against him. Basically what I needed to do. So Husna said, he deserves to be shamed. I feel sorry for the child and her mother. Their suffering cannot be imagined. I just, I, I, I, I, I agree with Husna, because I can’t even imagine. I can’t, oh, uh, my whole heart, I can’t even imagine. But anyways, like I said at the beginning of the comments section, every episode that I’ve mentioned throughout the entire show, every episode that I’ve mentioned. The links for each case is in the show notes below, so you could easily just click on it if you haven’t heard the episode, or if you forgot about the episode, or if you want to hear it again or, or, and most appreciated, if you want to share it with your friends, family and your social media following. All of the links are in the show notes below. Thank you everyone, uh, for your comments. Keep them coming. Leave your thoughts on today’s show in the comments below. And as always, thanks for listening. Thanks for being a LaM. Thanks for everything you do for this podcast and I will see you, uh, in the next episode. Bye.
