In today’s true crime story of Love and Murder, we delve into a horrifying and heart-wrenching case that will leave you sick. This is the story of Anthony Stocks, a convicted pedophile whose heinous actions were thwarted by the incredible bravery of an 11-year-old boy.
The events unfolded in Brighton, UK, in 2022. Anthony, already known to authorities for his past crimes, committed an unthinkable act. He threw an 11-year-old boy off a 100-foot cliff with the intention of sexually assaulting the boy’s 9-year-old sister. Surprisingly, the boy survived the fall, albeit with severe injuries that required extensive medical intervention.
Anthony had been grooming the young girl, instilling fear in her to keep her silent. However, her courage eventually led her to confide in her older brother. Despite being only three years older, the boy took on the role of protector, never letting his sister out of his sight when Anthony was around.
On September 24, 2022, Anthony lured the boy from London to a cliff in Brighton. Witnesses saw the boy fall and heard his screams, leading to a frantic rescue operation. The boy’s injuries were extensive, including fractures, lacerations, and internal damage. He had to be airlifted to St. George’s Hospital in London, where he was placed in a medical coma.
Initially, Anthony claimed the boy’s fall was an accident, but police were skeptical. Further investigation revealed the dark truth: Anthony had pushed the boy off the cliff to eliminate him as an obstacle to his predatory intentions with the girl. This revelation led to Anthony’s arrest on multiple charges, including attempted murder and sexual assault.
During the trial, the prosecution painted a grim picture of Anthony’s manipulative and selfish nature. Despite his not-guilty plea, the evidence was overwhelming. The court unanimously found him guilty, and he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 19 and a half years.
