Jasmine Moss
The tranquil city of Memphis, Tennessee, has been shaken by a disturbing incident that has sparked widespread outrage and prompted swift action from law enforcement authorities. A shocking video emerged on social media, showing a young child performing Brazilian waxes on adult women at a local beauty salon. The video, posted on Instagram and subsequently deleted, was captioned with alarming details, leading to an immediate investigation by Memphis police.
The business owner, identified as 30-year-old Jasmine Moss, took to social media to boast about her 5-year-old daughter’s involvement in the salon’s operations. The now-deleted post detailed how the child assisted in waxing 24 clients in a single day, earning a substantial sum of $744 in the process.
Listen to my reaction to this case:
The woman on the video said,
“When I say I’m passing down Deeds & LLCs to my [kids] I mean that. Ms. [child’s name redacted] did her thang today. She literally helped me wax 24 client starting from 7:25–5pm. She made a total of $744 and I’m going to put the money towards whatever her future dreams and aspirations are.”
The post quickly drew public condemnation, with many expressing deep concern over the exploitation of the child and the potential harm inflicted on the adult clients.
Screenshots of the post, depicting the child applying wax to adult clients’ intimate areas, quickly spread across various social media platforms. Despite the public outcry, responsible journalism dictates refraining from publishing the images due to the presence of a minor, the post received widespread condemnation from the public, questioning the owner’s judgment and the exploitation of the child.

The gravity of the situation became further apparent when the state Department of Commerce and Insurance received numerous complaints about the business owner. Subsequently, Jasmine Moss was identified by law enforcement officials and subsequently arrested. Moss now faces charges of child neglect and abuse, and is currently in custody at a Memphis jail without bond.
The incident has not only raised concerns about the treatment of the child but has also prompted calls for accountability from the adult clients who participated in the inappropriate and potentially harmful activities at the salon. The public outcry has been accompanied by demands for action against those who allowed and participated in the exploitation of the child.
The disturbing events in Memphis serve as a sobering reminder of the vulnerability of children and the imperative of safeguarding their well-being.
