Woman Murders Boyfriend’s Daughter, Leaves Body in Bucket for Mom to Find | Hannah Landon

Powerhand, Louisiana, Right outside of New Orleans, a strange sight is caught on camera at 9:30 at night. A woman is seen walking down a quiet suburb street, wheeling a white bucket behind her, pulling with both hands. Is she preparing for yard work in the morning? The answer is more disturbing than you can even imagine. It’s the case of Bunak Hannah Landon right now on Love and Murder. Welcome everyone. Now, this case takes place in Harahan, Louisiana. I’m hoping, I’m saying that town, right? And this is a suburb approximately 11 miles outside of New Orleans. Now, almost everybody in the world knows about New Orleans, you know, know Mardi Gras. And I don’t know what else people would know. I know the famous thing is Mardi Gras, Bourbon street and the Mississippi River. I guess I’m just trying to think of the most common thing everybody in the world would know about New Orleans. I personally love New Orleans. Not the partying aspect of it, but New Orleans itself. I love New Orleans. On Wednesday, April 26, 2023. A father, Michael Fontanel awoke and went to check on his daughter at 7:30am only to find her missing. He ran to tell his living girlfriend, but she too was missing. As he continued looking, he found his other child, a seven year old daughter who was unharmed. But that was it. Then Michael immediately called the Harahan Police department and reported them missing. Police came and investigated the home for clues. The they then went to the child’s mother’s house and arrived at around 8.20am they found something weird in her front yard, which was a 10 gallon white bucket right out there on her lawn, which is kind of weird. Maybe she’s renovating. Not too sure. So they went ahead and spoke with the mother and she said she had never seen that bucket before. So they went ahead and opened it up and found human remains. Investigators immediately canvassed the neighborhood for clues and you will never even guess in a million years what they found. On, um, one of the neighbors ring cameras, they saw a woman casually walking down the sideway in plain view, not trying to hide or anything, pulling a white 10 gallon bucket in a wagon behind her. When they asked who this woman was, they found out it was Michael’s girlfriend, Bunak Hannah Landon. She went by Han. Investigations into the case uncovered shocking evidence linking Hannah to the crime. DNA belonging to her was reportedly discovered on the plastic bucket that was used to transport Bella, the baby’s body. Also, when she went back to the house after dropping off the body, she put her phone in a plastic bag and buried it. Investigators found searches for defense attorneys on her phone. Dr. Jerry. Okay, I’m going to try and say this last name. Dr. Jerry Svit Tanovich. I hope I said that name correctly. The Jefferson Parish coroner performed the autopsy and reported the death was a homicide. Investigators theorized that she killed a little girl at the home late Tuesday night, put the body inside the 10 gallon bucket, dragged a bucket to the mom’s house a block away and dumped it on the front lawn. Who is depraved enough to do this? That’s freaking. You have to have allegedly, I guess. If so, we’ll say allegedly because it’s not confirmed that she did it. But whoever did this had to have a screw loose. Now, although, um, they’d found all of this out, they couldn’t find Hannah. In the meantime, the investigation continued. Dad went through extensive interviews today and we don’t believe he was involved in the murder by any means. As you can imagine, both him and the mother are extremely upset, as you would expect of anyone who lost a six year old child unexpectedly. Then at 2pm he Hannah was located at a local hospital. She was immediately arrested. They weren’t sure why she was at the hospital, so they stayed with her. She was released the next morning and booked on first degree murder and obstruction of justice and was held without bond. If convicted, she could face the death penalty in the state of Louisiana. It actually came out that Hannah had come to the police office around midnight of the 26th. When she got there, she was in a quote, distressed state and asked to make a phone call. When police questioned her, she said something to do with her family, but like that’s all she would say. She had actually been wearing the same clothes that had been seen in the surveillance footage. But of course they didn’t know that yet. And she was so distressed that she wouldn’t talk about what happened. They kept asking, she said, I’m not telling anything. And she just was in like this heightened distress state. So police called the ambulance to come and get her, take her to the hospital and assess her mental state. That’s how much in a distressed state she was. And you know, she was acting erratically and everything. So they wanted the hospital to run some tests and determine her mental state. So basically this is why she was at the hospital when cops found her. In the meantime, Bella School sent an email to the students parents saying in part, it is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we write you. We have been informed by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office that a kindergarten student here was found dead today. This is indeed a horrific tragedy that will impact our school and parish community. We have notified our faculty of today’s events but have not shared anything with the students. We delayed this notification in an effort to shield our kids from this tragic news. We feel it is best for them to be with you when the news reaches them. End quote. Police Chief Lepre stated, quote, we’re going to work until the end to make sure we get a conviction. This is a small baby and any family would be devastated. I could only imagine what the mother and father are going through right now. A hearing was scheduled on the same day that Hannah was arrested, but it was canceled because she was on suicide watch. Instead. A, uh, hearing started on Thursday, June 29, 2023. During the hearing, it came out that Hannah and Bella’s mother was having issues. In court documents, which will be in our Patreon, it was revealed that on March 17, 2021, the two women had gotten into a physical altercation during a school sporting event to the point that Michael had to get in the middle of it to stop. Then Hannah was charged with battery against a mother. Hannah then filed a restraining order on August 5, 2021, saying that Bella’s mother had assaulted her. In the restraining order, it stated that another instance of assault happened on June 8, 2021, at another sporting event. The restraining order was signed on July 19, 2021. It also came to light that Bella had spoken to her school counselor and told them that she didn’t like going to her father’s house. She said that Hannah would be mean to her and her sister. Witnesses testified that Michael had a history of making threats against the girls and their mother. There was also a police report that was filed in 2019 that showed that Michael allegedly threatened Bella’s mother with killing her, the two girls and himself. Wow. The day of the murder, their grandmother had dropped them off at Michael’s house. She hung around for a little bit, but after realizing that he was at work and wasn’t coming home anytime soon, she left them with Hannah. She said that she didn’t see anything unusual. The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office Chief forensic pathologist Dana Trox Clearance revealed how Bella was killed. She had multiple blunt force soft tissue trauma injuries to her head. However, it couldn’t be said if she was beaten by hand or with something or how many times she was even hit. She was also strangled. Also, it was reported in court that although the body had been placed in the bucket, it had not been dismembered. Now it’s important to note and re note that authorities don’t believe either of the biological parents had any role in Bella’s death. The focus currently remains on Hannah. During the hearing, it was determined that Hannah posed a danger to the community and was considered a flight risk. So she continued to be held without bond pending trial. This senseless and heinous act has forever destroyed my family. I. No words can describe the pain that is running through our bodies. It’s truly inhumane. As investigators continue and the case unfolds, the community mourns the loss of young Bella Fontanelle. And questions persist about the circumstances that led to this unimaginable act of violence. The pursuit of justice for the young victim remains at the forefront, and authorities work diligently to unravel the full extent of Hannah’s alleged involvement. So the reports came out that Michael was abusive to the family and that, you know, he said he would kill the mother himself, the kids, whatever. Um, I wonder. Not that I’m saying this is an excuse. I wonder if Hannah took it upon herself, thinking she was helping her man, to do this again, not blaming him at all because she’s crazy, allegedly. But I wonder if that’s what she was thinking. And also, as Bella’s mother, I honestly, I don’t know. I don’t know. I know I’ve seen trials of people jumping over the table to try and get the person who murdered their children, and I think that would totally be me. And also, WTF? 100%, to the fullest of you, rolling the child down to the mother’s house and leaving the body on her doorstep. If that didn’t scream you want to hurt somebody’s feelings or you want to one up, or you want to be the one who wins this fight that y’ all have been having throughout the years or what? Like, come on, you are already with the man. What the. Ah, hell, it’s not like you were fighting for who’s gonna have the guy or whatever. Like, you were with him. I can’t even.
