Mimose Dulcio’s Disappearance in Florida
In November 2022, 39-year-old Mimose Dulcio disappeared from her home in Central Broward, Florida, leaving her family desperate for answers.
When loved ones were unable to reach her, they went to the house and immediately noticed signs that something was wrong. Inside, they found broken phones, shattered credit cards, broken windows, blood spots, and damage throughout the home—clear signs that violence had taken place.
What began as a missing person case quickly turned into a homicide investigation.
Investigators Focus on Her Estranged Husband
Police soon turned their attention to Mimose’s estranged husband, Jose Luis Pacheco, as the couple was reportedly going through a divorce at the time of her disappearance.
Jose told investigators he had not seen Mimose in days, but authorities later said evidence showed she had been murdered inside the home. Prosecutors alleged that her body had been transported using the couple’s shared vehicle and dumped in an unknown location.
The case became even more devastating for her family as investigators worked to piece together what happened behind closed doors.
Body Found and Murder Conviction
Mimose’s body was later discovered in Miami-Dade, confirming investigators’ suspicions.
Following that discovery, Jose Luis Pacheco’s charge was upgraded to first-degree murder. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 55 years in prison.
Mimose’s family chose to accept the plea deal, saying they wanted justice without having to relive the trauma of a full trial. For them, accountability mattered more than sitting through every painful detail of how she died.
